From two weeks ago, but better late than never. This declutter project was the kids area. I chose to tackle Quinn’s clothes since it was desperately time to shuffle all the old sizes into storage to make room for the current sizes.
I ran over to target, picked up a new plastic bin, ran a load of laundry so I would be sure to catch all of the old sizes, and then set to work.
It had all become a bit of a throw it in there and run kind of arrangement anyway so I was very glad to finally get more hands on with his clothes and sift through them all. I was noticing the same outfit being worn at least once a week. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t properly circulate the clothing.
All of the new sizes were set off to the side so it was easy to sift through the drawers and pull out the old sizes. Only a few items remained, mostly the H&M pants because their sizes are wonky and he’s only just now coming into the 1-2 year size pants.
The few drawers at the bottom of his dresser usually hold the next sizes up but we don’t currently have any for him, so I was able to move over a few more blankets from the stuffed hall closet and make a cute little display of the diaper genie refills.
And, the very full clothes container now packed and ready for the next little boy.
