I FEEL A RATHER SILLY SOMETHING COMING ON…

Oh this space… this silly little blogging space of mine sure has grown a bit. Grown, and changed, then changed some more, because it is in fact an extension of me and I sure do like change.

I just spent waaaay too much time perusing the archives and boy oh boy… it’s a rather therapeutic thing to peruse ones archives, to go visit the younger version of ones self. I looked much too closely, and then walk across the room and took a gander from over there with my much older and wiser eyes and was all… who is that silly little girl? The new mom with big dreams about blogging and business adventures and momming and all that jazz.

I wish someone would have told me back in the beginning of my silly blogging days that design blogging is not for newbies and that I should instead choose mom blogging. Because who doesn’t want to stare at cute squishy babies all day long? But rugs and window coverings and all of those fabulous accessories that I simply HAD to share with the whole entire world that really could care less… yeah, they really do care less. Unless you have new stunning material that no one has ever, I mean ever, seen before you are NOT going to make it in the design blogging business. Period.

But no one tells you these things, because no one is there at the beginning. Except maybe your mom and your supportive hubs and your sister, because they always have your back even when you’re a silly nobody. Well look at me now mom, I’m still a silly nobody, but I sure am a happy body and that’s the best part.

Did you know that I have three kids? Three!
Quinn, Avery & Rhys (pronounced Reece, but spelled the traditional Welsh way.)
And my oldest, Quinn, he totally just turned three, like last Thursday!
Its such a big deal. He talks back now, like a pro. He asks, very seriously, if you’ve taken his Angry birds when he can’t immediately find them, because he’s left them randomly about the house as all three year olds do with anything…. he enunciates very well, and if he isn’t sure of a pronunciation he’ll start describing the word rather than saying the word so that you’ll then say the word and he can repeat you. It’s masterfully genius! I wish I could take credit for that, but nope, he came up with that one all. on. his. own.

Did you also know that my favorite color is red, my favorite number is 4 and my favorite board game is Monopoly. Wow, I feel so much better getting all of that off my chest! I’m so glad we’re such good BFF’s that I could tell you all that. Really. Because I just digressed myself back to the fabulous age of 12 with Herbal Essence shampoo and lipsmackers chapstick. Oh man, wasn’t lipsmackers simply the best?! Did you know that I used to eat chapstick…

I am loosing the point… I think… although I don’t think there was much of a point to this post, except maybe this. We’ve grown. We’ve grown and I like the growth and I like the friendships and I like all of you. And I promise to post more squishy baby photos, because honestly, who doesn’t love a squishy baby?!!!
