I GET UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN…

1 / I bill my clients. I always get uncomfortable when I have to talk $ with clients.
It’s just one of those necessary evils I guess.

2 / When girls critique each-other’s bodies. I was a swimmer all growing up so I have no issues stripping naked in front of other women. But it makes me sick when I overhear any woman talking down another woman’s body. Or when women are afraid to bare it all in front of each-other. It truly puzzles me.
None of us is perfect, and very few of us are ‘where we want to be’ with our bodies – myself included – but we should all support and encourage one another, not tear each-other down.

3 / I push my GIANT stroller with all three littles into a store and everyone turns to watch.
It’s a little embarrassing, but again a necessity.

4 / Taking style photos of myself. I feel very silly, and I NEVER know what to do with my hands!

  • Money. Yeah, that's a hard one. I grossly under charged many people because I balked at the money. Now I'm taking a hiatus for a few reasons, but one of them is I was tired of the money talk. I've never said that out loud before! I keep thinking I'll start taking pictures of myself, but I haven't been that brave yet!

  • I didn't even know you were a swimmer. :D Yeah, I wish I were more comfortable with my body. Money, ugh, the reason I don't have a business. It kills me! See, you're not alone and you've already got two up on me. :D

  • I so feel ya on the billing and style photos. I'm a babysitter, and if we haven't talked about the price beforehand I almost just want to say don't worry about it at the end when they ask, because I am just that uncomfortable!! And style photos?! I guess it gets easier, but man it can be awkward. Great post and lovely blog!! Going to do a little more snooping around and follow you for the challenge! :)
