Rhys is over the 5lb mark! He is down to 1 liter of oxygen at 21% (room air). He latches, but isn’t really interested in nursing, yet.
Avery is just behind him at 4lbs 11oz. She nurses like a champ, as long as she stays awake. She’s still on the high-flow cannula, 4 liters at 23%. But coming along just fine.
I spotted discharge paper work at Rhys’ station the other day, and we just heard that they’re talking about sending him home in a week or two if he stays on track. Oh please, oh please, oh please! I haven’t heard anything about Avery’s timing, but hopefully she’s just behind him.
