Tips for effortless summer beauty

I am honestly and truly a fall season kind of gal. The colors, the crunchy leaves, the chilly weather and a reason to bust out the boots and scarves. Yes please!

I will admit though, that there are some serious perks to Summer. Especially in the beauty regime department. Do you notice that your makeup lasts just a little bit longer in the summer time? Maybe it’s the natural sun-kissed look that comes with the season or the desire to not feel as ‘heavy’ on my face, but I can make my normal months worth of makeup last a good two months in the summer time.

Something I had to adjust to last week while camping was getting sweaty in the middle of the day. It was the perfect opportunity to lighten up my beauty regime. Why spend time perfecting your hair and makeup if you’re just going to get sweaty? Am I right?!? I found these quick tips, that won’t break the bank, super helpful and just maybe you will too – whether morning, noon or night.

7AM – Morning rush
Your goal: Naturally radiant

Get the look: A quick shot of dry shampoo and a light layer of mineral powder foundation to even out skin tone, and you’re good to go.

In your tool kit: Suave Dry Shampoo (Walgreens). Elf mineral powder (eyeslipsface.com).

1PM – Post workout
Your goal: Fresh and fast

Get the look: A quick application of tinted moisturizer, with an SPF for extra credit, to even out skin tone and give you a nice light coverage. Brush a touch of bronzer on your cheekbones for a sun-kissed look, and finish with a quick sweep of mascara.

In your tool kit: Neutrogena healthy skin glow sheer moisturizer (Walgreens). Elf Bronzer (eyeslipsface.com). Cover Girl, Colossal volume, mascara (Walgreens)

7PM – Heading out
Your goal: Glowing and glamorous

Get the look: Keep your sun-kissed beauty and rock a bright, glossy lip.

In your tool kit: Burts Bees lip gloss (Walgreens). Makeup setting spray (eyeslipsface.com).

Stay happy, stay fresh, stay humble my friends.
