Hello gorgeous.

This blog is called Westover Manor because it’s a little part of our home, online.
You can call me Kelly, or @sffitmom. I’m the voice and photographer behind it all.

We’re a little Westover Family living the crazy life in northern California and loving every minute of.
Our path has been full of ups and downs and all arounds, just like yours I’m sure.

We went through two of the longest and hardest years of our lives trying to conceive. Our almost broken patience was handsomely rewarded with now our hyperactive five year old son, Quinn. Two years and lots of trials later we found out we were pregnant again…. with twins! While I was beyond excited my other half, Eric, needed a quiet moment to scream in the corner, and the reality of it all left our heads spinning.

Around week 26 I became itchy, to the point that I was almost scratching myself raw with no visible signs pointing toward a cause of the itchy. After some blood work it was discovered that I had developed IHCP – Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy. A disorder in which the liver malfunctions and the body’s bile salts build up in the skin. Literally making you itch from the inside-out.

At week 28 I awoke with a bit of blood in my underwear and went to the hospital for some tests. After an hour or so of monitors and tests the twins were delivered via emergency C-section twelve weeks early, at an amazing 3 pounds & 3 pounds 2 ounces. After the longest eleven and thirteen weeks in the NICU the twins are home, happy and healthy. To say they light up our life would be an understatement of epic proportions.

You can expect me to over-share about our lives, just a bit. Show off my littles, my fitness journey, our style and our thirst for life on a pretty regular basis.
We’d sure love for you to come along for the ride!

Why do you blog?
I’m a creative individual who needs a creative outlet at all times. I learned this about myself the hard way when I went on maternity leave with my first son. (Picture really gross exploding head now)… I about went crazy with all the stillness and non-creative-ness that came along with new motherhood.
Enter, the blog.
Originally it began as an interior design inspiration space, since that is what my schooling is in, and remnants of that remain. But, ultimately family and life took over and it stands proudly now before you as a little piece of my creative & fitness loving home, online.

Do you have twins?
I sure do! Their names are Avery & Rhys and they were born 12 weeks early.
You can read all about their NICU journey here.

How do you pronounce Rhys?
Rhys is the traditional Welsh spelling for Reese.
And yes, we call him Rhys’ Pieces. 🙂

Are you Mormon?

How do you get around with three littles five and under?
It’s not always easy, but with some great gear and a little muscle we manage to get out and go quite often. Check out this post on Spearmint baby for my fave baby gear items.
I’m not the type to sit around and twiddle my thumbs so go, go, going is part of what keeps me mentally sane!

About that… how do you stay sane with all your littles?
Scheduling! I try my hardest to make sure I have special mama time, devotional time and one-on-one time with each little. I wrote this post a bit ago about our twins + Quinn schedule & have that schedule taped to my wall to help keep us on track.

Are you a Beach Body coach?
I sure am! I became a Beach Body coach in October of 2014 and haven’t looked back since.

What is coaching all about and would it be a good fit for me?
Coaching, for me, is all about the love. It’s sharing my journey and spreading the love to those around me through my social outlets and the accountability groups I host with my team each month.
I’d be willing to bet that coaching would sure look good on you. Why don’t you click on over here and answer a few questions so we can see…
